Development Manager

Portsoy Community Enterprise requires a Development Manager who will be responsible to the Board for driving the organisation forward and to bring it to a strong and sustainable future. Employment is initially for the period up until 31st March 2022, beyond that date is subject to securing ongoing financial support.

The successful applicant will have an ability to match a business focus with an appreciation of the wider objectives of the organisation coupled with experience of making applications for, and securing, funding. You will have an understanding of the grant making sector and the needs of the potential sponsor. An ability to work with and manage people including volunteers and to engage effectively with young people is essential. You will have a keen customer focus, excellent communication skills, together with an ability to drive legally in the UK.

You will ideally have experience of working in, or with, community-based organisations, some experience of financial management and be educated to degree level or with substantial equivalent experience.

  • The salary will be in the region of £24,000 p.a. (based on 28 hours per week)
  • Normal working hours are 9.00 to 17.00 Monday to Friday. Occasionally, longer hours and weekend work (with time off in lieu) may be required to meet the demands of the job.
  • 22 days paid holiday p.a. plus paid statutory days.

Marketing Coordinator

Portsoy Community Enterprise requires a part-time (21 hours per week) Marketing Coordinator who will be responsible to the Board for implementing the essential marketing support activity as key elements in an expanded marketing programme: “Destination Portsoy” and to give a strong focus on audience development for the organisation. Employment is initially for the period up until 31st March 2022, beyond that date is subject to securing ongoing financial support.

The successful applicant will have an excellent understanding of marketing and promotion activities, and the ability to manage and make best use of digital and social media in achieving success. You will have good knowledge and the ability to produce (or secure the production of) a wide range of material.

You will have experience of making applications for, and securing, funding. You will have an understanding of the grant making sector and the needs of the potential sponsor. An ability to work with and manage people including volunteers and to engage effectively with young people is essential. You will have a keen customer focus, excellent communication skills, together with an ability to drive legally in the UK.

You will ideally have experience of working in, or with, community-based organisations, some experience of audience development activity and be educated to degree level or with substantial equivalent experience.

  • The salary will be in the region of £15,600 p.a. (based on 21 hours per week)
  • Normal working hours are 9.00 to 17.00 Monday to Friday. Occasionally, longer hours and weekend work (with time off in lieu) may be required to meet the demands of the job.
  • 17 days paid holiday p.a. plus paid statutory days.
